Currently, the types of files uploaded support most of the suffixes found in the game. Will you be adding support for uploading .scmod and .log file formats later on?
.scmod and .log extensions are now supported. I’d recommend code blocks for shorter logs since they’re easier to read inline, but file upload is there for the longer ones.
In addition, I hope that a navigation tab for corresponding extension files can be added. When I want to find scworld or scmod files, I would like to be able to quickly locate the necessary files on the site using a related tag. Of course, I do not need to add tags to the community content section, as the content there is already categorized.
As far as i’m aware, Discourse (the forum software in use) doesn’t have a built-in way to filter posts by attachment type, so a dedicated file-type navigation tab isn’t something I’m able to add directly. The closest alternative is tags. If users tag their posts with the relevant file type (e.g. scworld, scmod), those tags are filterable and searchable. We could make that a norm or even a posting guideline for upload-heavy posts.
Yes, this feature is a suitable alternative method. This allows for quick retrieval within the tags.
